Affiliates are served and food is distributed
to the emergency food network pantries based
on need and the number of people served by each affiliate, and finally
on how much the Food Bank has on hand to give.
People in need of emergency food from a pantry
who live in the City of Racine must go to the Central
Food Referral Site to register, provide proof of need and eligibility,
and to then receive a referral to a food pantry. Visit "About
the Central Food Referral Site" for hours, location, and
details about proof of need and eligibility. People who live outside
of the City of Racine may go directly to a food pantry in their
area and provide the same prooj of need and eligibility to then
get food.
People who want to take part in a community meal
can just go to one of the volunteer-run meal sites and be fed. There
is no charge and no need to register. People at emergency shelters
enjoy meals provided in part by food from the Food Bank while they
are residents of the shelter.
